Book: 2 Samuel

Bible Passage: 2 Samuel 10:9-19

Humanly speaking, judging by the statistics only, the odds of victory were definitely not in David’s favor. Vastly outnumbered on literally every side, it would take a strategy of genius to succeed in battle – unless David chose to trust in God and also delegate some authority to Joab, commander of his army. Once again, Rev. Andrew D. Redman proceeds to expound this fascinating account in the 2nd Book of Samuel, pointing out the various principles that resulted in overwhelming victory for David and the people of Israel. The astonishing relevance of these same principles in our daily Christian life today means this is a passage worthy of our careful attention and personally application.
