Since God chose Saul to be Israel’s first king why was he subsequently rejected by God? Does God allow Christians to lie under certain conditions? What can we learn from Scripture about God’s requirements when He gives clear commands? Can God overlook incomplete obedience? What was the main problem in Saul’s character that caused his downfall?
